Compound vs. Element
The difference between a compound and an element is that in a element it is just one letter, but in a compound there is 2 letters. For example C is the example of a element, and CO is a example of a compound. In a element they don't have to share, it is just one thing. When you have a compound it is like you have a twin. You share everything with that partner. Also a element cannot be broken down. Whereas a compound, H2o, can be broken down which would be water.
